Unemployment Benefit

• Member should not be over 60 years old at the time of involuntary separation;

• Member had paid at least 36 monthly contributions, 12-months of which should be in the 18-months period immediately preceding the month of involuntary separation; and

• Member was involuntarily separated from employment. This means that the member lost his job through NO fault of his part as authorized causes (redundancy, retrenchment, closure of company, calamity, recession, and similar causes).

• If qualified, the employee is granted to receive unemployment benefits up to   Php 20,000.00, depending on their monthly salary credit.

• The benefit is granted thru a one-time payment, and the claim must be filed within a year from the date of involuntary separation. 

• Nominated Bank Account

• Certification of Involuntary Separation from DOLE

• Notice of Termination from Employer 

• 2 valid ID’s

• SSS will send an email to the member notifying him of the approval.

• Payout of the SSS Unemployment Benefit shall be credited to the nominated Bank Account.

• It usually takes around 5-10 working days from the date of of application.
